Present day, Prudential Chambers Realty is the descendent of several Highland County realty and auction companies. It had its beginnings in the Hunter Mayhugh Realty and Auction company, which was located at 111 East Main Street in Hillsboro, with owners Charlie Hunter and Delmar Mayhugh.
In 1969 Mr. Mayhugh retired and Lowell Chambers became the new co-owner.
Hunter Chambers Realty and Auction Company continued at the same location until 1986, when Charlie Hunter passed away.   The business then became Chambers Realty and Auction Company and moved to its present location in 1993.
In 1995 the company affiliated with Coldwell Banker, a national real estate company. In 2006 Chambers Realty aligned with Prudential and is now Prudential Chambers Realty and has 18 full time agents to serve your needs. They handle commercial, residential, farms, vacant land, and work in all areas surrounding Highland County. For more information on our company listings see the Listings Page.
Chambers Auction Company presently has three auctioneers and has been in business since 1959. For more information on Chambers Auction Company see the Auction Page.
